Gynaecologist

Gynaecology is the science of studying and working with the female reproductive system. Informally, it is known as “the science of women”, much like the Greek word it originates from, i.e, Gyne (women) & logia (study).

Pioneers in Womencare, Swapna Health Care has a Gynaecology clinic of International standards, which has always evolved to suit the latest techniques & treatment being used by the rest of the world.Swapna Healthcare has always kept abreast with the latest techniques, treatments, and technologies with the rest of the world.

Women choose to visit a well-women clinic and see an OB-GYN (Obstetrics - Gynaecologist) specialist in case of issues or queries about fertility, pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy, menstruation, etc, instead of heading to a general hospital or a family doctor.

There are four sub-specialties under the study of Gynaecology today. These are:

  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine
  • Gynaecologic Oncology
  • Reproductive Endocrinology
  • Urogynaecology

At Swapna Health Care, services are focused on the first two types from the list mentioned above. Maternal - Fetal Medicine: aka Perinatology, the name itself suggests that it pays keen attention to the health of the mother and baby before, during & after delivery of the newborn. The exams and consults are carried out by physicians specialized in the field who act as consultants during low-risk pregnancies and as the main obstetrician in the case of high-risk pregnancies. We proudly state that we have been masters in uncomplicating high-risk pregnancies since 1983.

Gynecologic Oncology: is a specialized field of medicine that focuses on cancers of the female reproductive system, including ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical cancer, and vulvar cancer. As specialists, gynaecologists are the ones who can look out for early cancers, carry out the screening procedures and educate you about preventive measures. We offer Pap smears, HPV testing, Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy, and Sonomammography to outpatients.
